Sam and Monica Get Us Ready for Squad!
Summer is almost here and Squad is getting started.
Thanks to Monica Schick and Sam Mclean for giving us the inside scoop on what Squad is all about.
Hi Sam and Monica. How is your day going?
Monica: My day is going great as usual!
Sam: Great! Changing lives.
So tell me about Squad. What is it?
S: Squad training is personal small group training, usually with between 4 and 7 clients, that focuses on improving function and strength. It puts more tools in your toolbox, lets you do real life better.
Will I have fun?
M: Squad is super fun! Not only is squad cost-effective, it’s very community based. You’ll not only have your trainer to be accountable to but your squad friends as well. They’ll make sure you’re showing up!
Why will it help me get in better shape?
S: Regardless of the goal, strength is the road that will lead you there. Want to lose fat? Get stronger, so you can do more work and fuel your muscles. Want to have more energy? Get stronger, so that difficult tasks get easier, taking less out of you. Want to play with your grand kids? Get stronger, so you can crawl around, wrestle, and throw them into the pool!
Who are ideal candidates?
M: Ideal candidates for squad are generally healthy with no outstanding health concerns. If a candidate is recovering from surgery, has a half marathon coming up, or needs to lose 50 pounds, we offer Specialized training which is a more customized fit for their needs.
When does it start and how do I get signed up?
M: Courthouse clubs offer squads at various days and times. Contact the club to find a day or time that works best for you, and come try it out!
