Imagine, Train, Do: Gerrie Faessler-Grey
Gerrie Faessler-Grey is 71. She’ll be 72 in October.
She is setting new goals all the time.
She recently completed her first 10K. Below is a photo taken after the race with her trainer, Isaiah Burrell.
Isaiah: “Working with Gerrie has truly been an honor. She proves, on a daily basis, that age is not an excuse for refusing to go out and reach new goals doing the things you love most. Gerrie is not just my client, she is my friend. I am proud to say that she inspires me to never give up. Just when I thought I couldn’t be impressed more, she proves me wrong and signs up for her first 10k. I’m proud of you, Gerrie!”
At 8am, at the Lancaster Courthouse, Isaiah trains Gerrie to accomplish her next big goal.
“I’d like to compete in the Senior Olympics. To do that, I have to do a few qualifying triathlons.”
To do this, Gerrie holds planks, throws medicine balls, shuffles and side-steps over agility ladders, improves on her mobility, her strength, her confidence.
She does it all with a smile on her face.
Great job, Gerrie.
