Employees Make An Impact

Nearly 70 Courthouse employees are sweating and just trying to make it to the end of the track. Their legs are burning. The collective heart rate of the room has increased as the music quickens to a frantic blur.

They are experiencing Courthouse Impact, most for the first time.

They are sprinting (not jogging, outright sprinting) in place and over their bench on the floor of the Battle Creek group exercise room. They drive their knees in unison. The lung and then squat and then hold…hold…hold…and jump! They do foot-fires into burpees. They bounce. They do not stop moving from minute one to minute sixty.

“It was challenging. It was hard. It was fun,” says Chuck, Fitness Coach at West Salem.

“I was sweating. I was breathing hard. It was a push,” says Jessica Cruz, Flexibility Trainer at South River Road.

Sarah Rossi, Fitness Coach at South River Road and Impact Instructor, starts the sweat-fest this way:

“This is your chance to train like an athlete for sixty minutes. Let’s go to work.”
