C2V (Courthouse 2 Venti’s) 2013
We are calling it the Summer of Awesome.
Three events are taking place this summer that personify what we mean by “Imagine, Train, Do.”
The C2V is not a race. It is not competitive. It is simply a chance to try something new and have fun while working out. It is a chance to be with friends and support a great project. This is our third summer running the C2V. It has fostered its own personality. It has become a favorite among people looking to enjoy the Salem summer.
Here is how the first C2V of the summer is going to work.
1. It begins with a five lap swim in the outdoor pool at Courthouse West. (Don’t let this part freak you out. The pool is 5 feet deep and could easily be ran as well as swam. Again, this is not a race. Have fun with it.)
2. Dry off and hop on a stationary bike and pedal for 5 miles.
3. Jump off and run across the walking bridge and towards the acid ball at the end of Riverfront Park (which, as it happens, is the future site of the second walking bridge) and do 50 jump squats.
4. Run to Venti’s Downtown and grab an empty keg. Do 25 Keg Presses.
5. Go inside and enjoy a cold beer and a rice bowl buffet, as well as some games and music.
Feel free to dress up, go nuts, and have fun. Be a kid. Bring fun to fitness and joy to life.
Cost is $15. And all the proceeds go to the Friends of Two Bridges.
