Member Spotlight: Zach Delgado
Zach Delgado joined the West Courthouse in August with the primary goal of losing weight. After graduating from high school and moving out on his own, Zach had a difficult time making healthy living a priority. He gained substantial weight as a result of poor nutrition and lack of exercise.
Fitness Coach Cody Crowe learned that Zach loves basketball and that he really wanted to get in better shape in order to play more competitively and improve his speed, agility, and endurance. They created a plan that included 3 days per week of weight training and 2 days per week of cardio. Zach also committed to stop eating fast food and has been making his own meals using quality ingredients instead.
As a result of his hard work and dedication, Zach has lost over forty pounds since August. He has been consistent with his training, rarely missing a day at the gym, and he is happier and healthier because of it. Zach gives credit to the team at West for helping him create a plan that truly works for him. They have walked beside him through his journey offering encouragement and guidance.
Zach says his story is not yet complete. He still has a goal to reach 15% body fat and would love to start playing basketball for our basketball league. We will continue to follow Zach’s progress and look forward to sharing in his continued success!
