Tri4Kids 2013
The 2nd annual Tri4Kids, Salem’s multi-sport challenge for kids, is taking place this upcoming Saturday, August 24th, at 9:00am. More kids. More mascots. More volunteers. The same great course and the same great memories.
The Tri4Kids, with help from sponsorship and support from Salem Health and Courthouse Fitness, will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Marion and Polk counties.
The Tri4Kids is for young ones ages 6-12. It will include both a long course (2-lap swim, 1-mile run, 3-mile bike) and short course (1-lap swim, .5-mile run, 1.5-mile bike) and will run from the Courthouse outdoor pool, through Wallace Marine Park, across the pedestrian walking bridge, around Riverfront Park, and back to Wallace Marine where racers will be greeted by an inflatable obstacle course, cheerleaders, and a bevy of local mascots.
This is a great chance for kids to participate in something that is both challenging and safe; lifeguards will be at the pool and all runners will be in eye-sight of an adult volunteers throughout the entire race.
