Out There: C2V 2012

“When’s the next one?”

I love that question. That question was asked a number times in the top room of the Venti’s Cafe after the completion of the first C2V (Courthouse 2 Venti’s) of 2o12. That question means a number of things.

It means whoever asking it had a good time. It means the event made them work and put them a little out of their comfort zone. It means the C2V was something different, something casual, something fresh, something out there. It means that they’ll do it again when the chance comes. It means that fitness (moving around and doing stuff) is very very fun.

It means they made awesome happen and they want to make it happen again.

Rachel Jeffers, the C2V One-Person Pep Band, played her trombone as over 60 folks of all-ages and experience-levels swam, then biked, then ran to meet Drew Miller (of Courthouse Nutrition) and Kate Thurber at the “acid ball” at the end of Riverfront Park to complete a series of jumping jack or jump squats before hurrying to Gallagher’s to finish the challenge with push-ups. Venti’s hosted the C2V’ers with beer and food and I was asked my favorite question there.

“Hey, when’s the next one?”

The Courthouse is a group of people, employees and members, who share in the joy of doing stuff, of getting out there to enjoy an active life. We love making those opportunities possible and making those opportunities fresh and exciting and challenging and strange and, most of all, fun. Fitness is fun. Everyone proved that fact last night during the first C2V of the summer.

So, what’s the answer? When’s the next one? Soon. Very soon.

Imagine it. Train for it. And when it comes around again very soon, do it.
