The C2V Returns
What is the C2V?
It is hard to explain. It is not quite a race. It is more than a work-out. The C2V stands for Courthouse to Venti’s, but it is much more than running around and getting some great beer and some good, clean food. The C2V is an attitude.
Being a part of the C2V says that you love where you live and want to make it better. It says that any reason is a good reason to be active. Showing up to swim and bike and run and do some push-ups and some jumping jacks is a declaration to everyone around you that Fun and Fitness are the best of friends and you know both of them personally. The format of each C2V will change, but the spirit will stay the same: Fun and Fitness.
On a practical level, the C2V breaks down like this.
May 14th (that’s a Monday). There’s two sections of the race, a Super and a Classic.
(Super: 10 lap swim, 10 miles bike, run, 1oo jumping jacks or jump squats, 100 push-ups)
(Classic: 5 lap swim, 5 mile bike, run, 50 jumping jacks or jump squats, 50 push-ups)
There are 6 heats. The first two are for the Super and the last four are for the Classic. Heat One starts at 5:30, with each heat starting every 15 minutes.
The event costs 15 bucks, which gets you entrance into the race, food, and a beer.
Those are the details. But, really, the C2V can’t be explained. It needs to be experienced. You can sign up HERE.
This leaves one simple question. You in?
