Don’t call it a diet, call it a lifestyle change!

These words have never been more relevant then when you relate them to nutrition. There are so many “quick fix” diets out there today, and I know you understand what I am talking about because maybe you have even tried some yourself! The Cabbage Soup Diet of the 70’s and early 80’s is probably my favorite example of how crazy diets can be sometimes. I love cabbage but not enough to eat it all day, everyday for a week.
The worst diets are the ones that claim to offer permanent lifestyle change with drastic quick fixes. With any new “diet”, you have to ask yourself, ”am I willing to do this everyday for the rest of my life”? If the answer is “no”, then it is unlikely that you will be able to keep your results, even after all your sacrifice.
The only way to get a healthier, fitter, and leaner body is through permanent lifestyle change by adopting healthy habits. This way, you get real results, and you get to keep them too. Remember, it is the small and permanent steps that will get you there. And if you are not sure how to do that, then I guess you will just have to keep checking back to find out…
